Roman statuette of Mercury, 1st-3rd century AD. A bronze statuette of Mercury, standing in contra posto with weight on the left leg. Naked except for a winged cap to head and cloak over the left arm. The right arm extended originally holding a money bag, the left hand holding a caduceus . Mounted on a custom made stand. 90mm x 50mm without base. Provenance: Ex. Private Collection of Michael Green, Tiverton region, collection formed between 1970's - 2012.
