An Egyptian Limestone cartouche fragment with 'Amen' the sign of the god Amen.

This would probably refer to an "Amenhotep" Pharoah in this context.

Acquired by descent this piece of Egyptian Limestone fragment came from the site of ancient Thebes.

18th Dynasty, circa 1500 B.C.

Limstone.

27cm x 19cm.

Acquired by descent, Ex. Simon Johansson Collection, 1960's. Inherited from Grandfather who traveled in Egypt during World War I (1914-1918).
