A fantastically detailed Egyptian painted pottery shabti from the New Kingdom.
Good detailed body and facial details remaining. Hieroglyphs portrayed on a vertical column from the bottom of the foot to the crossed red arms. Hieroglyphs still in good condition painted in black. Face and arms painted in a reddish/brown paint. Wig painted in black.
Egypt, New Kingdom, C.1200 BC.
Condition: Small loss to the bottom of the feet.
Provenance: Ex. collection: Inge Hansen, Denmark; inherited from her father in 1958, thence by family descent.
