An early Egyptian utilitarian piece of reddish Nile silt clay, the vessel with round body and wide mouth.

Egypt; First Intermediate Period, C. 2118 - 1980 BC.

Condition: Some chips to the rim as shown in pictures, additional surface deposits.

Provenance: Ex. Charles Mellor, Newquay, Acquired in Egypt in the 1940's.
