An interesting Near Eastern spouted bowl from Syria - Levantine dating to the Early Bronze with painted line decoration in red and green.

Background: These ancient bowls were utilitarian items; commonly used in tableware or storage of liquids such as oils and water/wine/beer. The painting was applied after being fired giving us a nice colour on the outside.

Dimensions: 18cm W x 10.1cm H.

Condition: Chips to the rim and a section of white filler on the top of the rim shown in pictures 3 and 4.

Provenance: Ex. Private Collection, Enfield, Acquired in 2014-2015.
