An imposing Cypriot - Phoenician Geometric Bichrome Pilgrims Flask with rounded lenticular body, long cylindrical neck flaring to to a funnel-shaped rim which is slightly inverted with a sharp inside edge. Produced in Phoenicia, but usually found in Cyprus.
Cypro-Geometric Period (1000 BC - 700 BC).
Size: 37cm H.
Condition: Signs of repair with a red filler mark, stable. Circular paint still visible but faded.
Provenance: Ex. Ancient & Oriental Gallery, Acquired in 2014.
